#ThinkPinkArt - Creative Arts Collaboration - October

Hello friends,

the Creative Arts Collaboration is growing fast, and it has developed into a monthly event.
Hundreds of YouTube channels are taking part.

This month is both breast cancer awareness month, and domestic violence awareness month, and I feel that my project fits well with both.

I hope that you will take some inspiration from this, and I wish you strength in whatever battle you are fighting. Just know that you are not alone, and there is help.

Lots of love

Tim Holtz 12 Tags of 2015 - October

Hello friends,

I absolutely adored the tag Tim made this month.

As I do not own a die cutting machine I had to improvise and create my own monster.

Naturally it had to be the bride of Frankenstein. She can now "date" Tim's tag? I wonder ;-)

You can see all the other entries on Tim's Blog here: http://timholtz.com/12-tags-of-2015-october/

Go take a look, I always enjoy looking at all the entries. People are so creative, it's a lot of fun.

Kuretake Gansai Tambi Watercolours - A Gift from a Subscriber

Hello friends,

a friend of mine watches my videos and she liked them a lot. She asked me if there was anything she could do to support me, if she could get me anything.

Not quite believing what I heard I told her about these watercolours, and as she is quite artistic herself she immediately saw why I wanted them.

Depending on where you buy them from the delivery can take some time if they are shipped directly from Japan, I waited almost 4 weeks.

But then they finally arrived *insert angel choir*. I was completely stunned that she actually did this. I am so grateful and appreciate this so much.

Below I will show you some swatches that I made. They are sorted by colour, not as they come in the pack. And yes, they are as luscious as everyone says. Creamy and opaque and a dream to work with.

One touch with a brush and you have it loaded with pigment. With some watercolours you need to work in your brush for ages before colour shows up. Not with these. Also when they dry the smooth out and look all innocent and shiny, almost new, not like a craft monster attacked the palette.

The flow very easy and the pigment is nice and even in the water. Sometimes with other products the pigment and the water have trouble getting to know each other. These ones are the waters best friend. They play nicely, and the use is effortless. So you can concentrate on what you are doing rather that figuring out how to make a colour work.

Let me know what your favourite watercolours are. I am currently taking a class with
Ana Victoria Calderon and will post more pics from my exercises soon. Also of course anything that I feel is worth showing.

If you would like to support me by sending me some art supplies, here is the link to my wish list: http://bit.ly/BeckysWishList

Happy Weekend & lots of Love
